It also gives hope to children who need a new home when their biological parents can&#8217;t tend to them. Adoption is considered a <em>&#8220;win-win&#8221;<\/em> situation for both the couple and the child. The same goes for a firefighter who suddenly became a father 2 days after he delivered the baby of a single mother.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:post-content -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>On November 14, 2011, firefighter <em>Marc Hadden<\/em> from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, encountered a 9-1-1 call from a single mother who was suffering from abdominal pain. Marc responded to the call.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:image {\"align\":\"center\",\"id\":56611,\"sizeSlug\":\"large\",\"linkDestination\":\"none\"} -->\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-56611\" src=\"http:\/\/en.goodtimes.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/pic1-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1502 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/7.1-1024x538.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"760\" height=\"399\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/7.1-1024x538.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/7.1-300x158.jpg 300w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/7.1-768x403.jpg 768w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/7.1.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 760px) 100vw, 760px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<!-- \/wp:image -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>It was too late for the mother to be transported to the hospital, hence, Marc delivered the baby girl, who weighed 6-lb. 2-oz. He also had to provide emergency oxygen for the baby to be able to breathe on her own. <em>\u201cShe struggled from the minute she was put in my hands,\u201d<\/em> recalls Marc, 48. <em>\u201cIt was amazing to hear her cry.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1503 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/5.1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/5.1.jpg 600w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/5.1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/5.1-389x260.jpg 389w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/5.1-246x164.jpg 246w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/5.1-120x80.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>Hours later, the single mom was transported to the hospital and mentioned to Marc that she will not be able to raise her daughter since she is still struggling with a teenage son at home. Marc did not hesitate to raise his hand in case adoption is to happen. Marc and his wife <em>Beth<\/em>, already have 2 boys, <em>Will<\/em>, now 15, and <em>Parker<\/em>, now 13, at home. They were struggling to have another baby since she had complications during her first 2 pregnancies. They opted for adoption.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>Beth says she remembers getting a phone call from Marc that day where he told her, <em>\u201cI delivered a baby.\u201d<\/em> Jokingly she replied, <em>\u201cCan we keep her?\u201d<\/em> He responded, <em>\u201cI think she might be going up for adoption.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:image {\"align\":\"center\",\"id\":56613,\"sizeSlug\":\"large\",\"linkDestination\":\"none\"} -->\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-56613\" src=\"http:\/\/en.goodtimes.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/pic3-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1504 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/5.2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/5.2.jpg 960w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/5.2-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/5.2-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>Upon learning of the biological mother&#8217;s dilemma, Beth felt obligated to visit her the next day. <em>\u201cMy heart just went out to this woman,\u201d<\/em> says Beth, 39, an instructional coach at the local elementary school. <em>\u201cI brought her a little prayer book and asked if I could get anything for her.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:image -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p><em>\u201cSuddenly, the opportunity was there for me to say that Marc and I had been praying about adoption for years,\u201d<\/em> she recalls. <em>\u201cAnd she looked over at me and said, \u2018I want you to adopt my baby.\u2019 She had the nurse bring her in, and I was able to hold Gracie for the first time. I called Marc and said, \u2018I think we just had a baby.&#8217;\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:image {\"align\":\"center\",\"id\":56614,\"sizeSlug\":\"large\",\"linkDestination\":\"none\"} -->\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-56614\" src=\"http:\/\/en.goodtimes.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/pic4-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1505 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/5.3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"648\" height=\"505\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/5.3.jpg 648w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/5.3-300x234.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 648px) 100vw, 648px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<!-- \/wp:image -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>\u201cShe is what we prayed for,\u201d says Beth. <em>\u201cIt felt like winning the lottery.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p><em>\u201cWe told her pretty much from day one,\u201d<\/em> says Marc. <em>\u201cI\u2019ve taken her to the back of the ambulance where she was born, so she knows \u2014 no doubt about it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>Always wearing bows, tutus, and practicing gymnastics, Beth says she\u2019s still a <em>\u201ctough little joker because she has two big brothers who have trained her right.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>Grace turns 11 this year on November 14.<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1506 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/5.6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"728\" height=\"756\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/5.6.jpg 728w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/5.6-289x300.jpg 289w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 728px) 100vw, 728px\" \/><\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>Marc and Beth&#8217;s story touched the hearts of many people.
