The large \u201cM\u201d<\/strong> of the McDonald\u2019s logo has been recognizable to us since we were children. Even if we are still far from a branch, we would know where a McDonald\u2019s restaurant is located due to the yellow logo we see from a distance. Instantly, we would think of their golden French Fries, or Ronald McDonald in his clown costume, their tasty hamburgers, and other yummy food served in their branches. However, did you know that there is one McDonald\u2019s branch in the United States with the only teal-colored (marine blue) \u201cM\u201d logo<\/strong>? That\u2019s right! It is located in Sedona, Red Rock State Park, Arizona, USA.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sedona, Arizona, is famous for its red rock landscape with a history that dates back centuries and is considered one of the most beautiful places in the world. Sedona was still being developed when a McDonald\u2019s branch opened in 1993. The city\u2019s government wanted to protect and highlight the natural beauty of its landscapes and their colors. When McDonald\u2019s opened in Sedona, they suggested its logo have a different color than the usual yellow-golden \u201cM.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to locals, McDonald\u2019s personnel listened to the government\u2019s suggestion and decided to do something different. At the time, Sedona had rules in place for establishments that made sure no structures would intrude too much on the surrounding\u2019s natural beauty. Instead of the restaurant\u2019s usual bright yellow logo, they came up with the color teal since it matched the city\u2019s natural decor. Additionally, it matches the city\u2019s red rock landscape nearby. Today, it is one of the most visited branches in the whole world due to its picturesque, turquoise-colored logo. And Sedona has the only one!<\/p>\n

Despite having a blue \u201cM\u201d logo, the other parts of the restaurant are the same as the other branches. However, drinks cups and burger boxes are also teal-colored, the same as the branch\u2019s logo. Customers and passersby made them ideal for taking photos. In the future, when you get the chance to visit Sedona, you might as well visit their McDonald\u2019s branch that has the teal-colored logo. Don\u2019t forget to take photos for souvenirs!<\/p>\n
