This did not concern a single mother who did not hesitate to don a man\u2019s attire and attend her son\u2019s <em>\u201c<strong>Dads and Doughnuts<\/strong>\u201d<\/em> school event, which surprised everyone at the venue!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-849\" src=\"http:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/pic1-15.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"634\" height=\"593\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/pic1-15.jpg 634w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/pic1-15-300x281.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 634px) 100vw, 634px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Whitney Kittrell<\/strong><\/em>, a single mother of 2 from St. George, Utah, said that when her son came back from school one day, he gave her a flyer that said that there would be an upcoming event called <em>\u201c<strong>Dad and Doughnuts<\/strong>\u201d<\/em>. The children and their fathers will be eating doughnuts for breakfast at their kindergarten school.<\/p>\n<p>She wrote on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/whitney.k.garcia\"><strong>Facebook<\/strong><\/a>: <em>\u201cWhen I became a single mom over three years ago, I made a promise to myself that I would do anything I could, even if it meant going out of my comfort zone, to give my kids a &#8220;normal&#8221; life and the same experiences as other kids.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-850\" src=\"http:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/pic2-15.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"750\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/pic2-15.jpg 750w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/pic2-15-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/pic2-15-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/pic2-15-80x80.jpg 80w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, Whitney\u2019s mood was not fine on that day, so she asked her son, <em>\u201cDo you want to go with grandpa?\u201d<\/em> With a sweet smile on his face, her son answered, <em>\u201cNo, I want to go with you. You are my mother and father.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-851\" src=\"http:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/pic3-17.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"633\" height=\"617\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/pic3-17.jpg 633w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/pic3-17-300x292.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 633px) 100vw, 633px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Whitney\u2019s heart melted at his response, and she also did not want her son to be exempted from the event, so she decided to surprise him on the special day. <strong>She drew on a goatee and wore a baseball hat. She also wore a pair of sweatpants to dress up like a \u2018Dad\u2019.<\/strong> Unexpectedly, her son was surprised and felt excited to attend the event in school.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSo, this morning, I gathered up my best dad outfit, painted on some facial hair, and went to breakfast with my sweet son,\u201d<\/em> Whitney said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-852\" src=\"http:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/pic4-13.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"634\" height=\"828\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/pic4-13.jpg 634w, https:\/\/gtgoodtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/pic4-13-230x300.jpg 230w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 634px) 100vw, 634px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When they arrived at his kindergarten school, her son immediately took her hand and introduced her to the first classmate he saw. <em>\u201cI was so embarrassed, but I couldn\u2019t help but smile when he introduced me to his little friends saying, \u2018This is my mom. She\u2019s my dad too, so I brought her!\u2019\u201d<\/em> Whitney\u2019s eyes welled with tears, but she felt relieved.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing the happy event on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/whitney.k.garcia\"><strong>Facebook<\/strong><\/a>, Whitney wrote: <em>\u201cWhen I went to leave, he ran after me and hugged me tight around my neck and whispered, \u2018Mom&#8230; I know that you\u2019ll always be there and do anything for me. Thank you. I love you.\u2019 kissed my cheek and ran off.
