Nowadays, people see many stray dogs still wandering the streets regardless of the organizations that warn us about the situation. Unfortunately, not all these strays get rescued and adopted by pet lovers to enjoy the warmth of a forever home.
Luckily, a female stray dog found her haven at a construction site. Occasionally, the workers would leave her some food or pet her, and life was a little brighter for the stray dog. Almost a year passed, and the poor stray had a horrible accident. However, she was unaware that the unfortunate occurrence would change her life forever.
In an unfortunate situation, the poor stray broke her leg. She was in dire need of help due to the nasty injury. She had to suffer for almost 3 days since nobody noticed her.
When it seemed that almost all hope was gone, a good Samaritan named Cristina saw her lying in the middle of the construction site. Without hesitating, she carried the dog and immediately brought her to a veterinary clinic nearby. After the vets thoroughly examined her, they discovered she had a double fracture. She underwent repair surgery, and Cristina paid for all her medical expenses. The kind-hearted woman was so moved by the dog’s unfortunate situation, and this was her only option.
Unfortunately, Cristina could not do more to help the poor dog. However, she managed to have an agreement with 2 workers from the construction site to provide her with a foster home. A comfortable garden shed became the home of the fortunate dog for 2 months. During that time, her foster parents tried to find her a forever home, but they did not succeed despite so much effort.
They decided to contact Howl Of A Dog, a rescue center that could assist in finding a forever home for the injured stray dog. They did not hesitate to accept their request. When the female dog arrived at the center, she knew she was finally safe. Her future seemed brighter since her accident led her to a second chance in life.
The employees and volunteers of the rescue organization instantly fell in love with the pup when they met her. They named her Honey since she was a sweet dog, super playful and joyful. She was boosted with energy despite having an injury, and she was still recuperating. She would play and jump around. She was the sweetest dog there, and the rescue organization shared her story on their Facebook page. Instantly, Honey became loved by many.
Since then, positive comments started pouring in, and one company donated a beautiful leash for her. Honey was an instant sensation, and she was loved by many. Soon, numerous adoption offers also came. However, Honey still had an orthopedic implant and needed to recover for 6 months before she got ready for a new chapter in her life.
Fortunately, time flew very fast, and the day finally arrived. The rescue organization shared a Facebook post with the caption: “Honey at her forever home.🏠❤️.”
They also noted that Honey was living in a dog-friendly town by the sea, enjoying the beautiful scenery, and living the most amazing life she deserved. Her adoptive dad is happy and could not be prouder.
“She is such a lovely, lovely dog. She has made so many friends here, and many of the shops have treats ready for her. I really could not have been luckier when I was able to adopt her,” Nigel, Honey’s adoptive dad, said.
“Thank you so much, Nigel, for adopting this sweet soul❤️,” Howl Of A Dog wrote.
