Most people who love to travel alone find it more convenient to fly to their destination. Travel time is faster, they have more time to relax, and they can spend more quality “alone” time. More often than not, no problems should be encountered along the way. To ensure a smooth and stress-free travel, always plan ahead and double-check your list. However, most lone travelers anticipate problems that may occur along the way and try their best to eliminate them, such as a woman who purchased 2 seats on a flight.
A mother traveling with her 18-month-old son sat beside her and began making a fuss about the double seat the woman had purchased for herself. The mother realized the woman was obese but still told her to squeeze in so the boy could sit beside her. However, the woman refused since she had purchased 2 seats in advance. She showed her ticket to the mother, which revealed she indeed purchased 2 seats on the flight. Initially, the flight attendant the mother summoned politely asked the woman to squeeze in so the little boy could sit. However, when she learned that the woman purchased 2 seats, she suggested the little boy sit on his mother’s lap instead.
The mother complied. However, she would glance an unpleasant look at the woman beside her throughout the flight. Was the woman who purchased 2 seats on a flight considered selfish? Or was she reasonable? You be the judge.
