A Japanese owner raised 4 birds and lets them out of their cages at times for a little enjoyment of freedom. Among them is a 3-year-old three-color bird named “Kuku” who likes to roam every nook and cranny of the house. There were times when the owner could not find him when it was time to bring him back to his cage. One day, while the owner searched for Kuku for 30 minutes but could not find him, she found him standing next to a row of fake birds in front of the TV.
There were 3 doll birds placed as decorations in front of the TV, each with a different style. 2 were white, and the other was tricolor, the same as Kuku. However, the owner noticed that the bird decors became 4. After a few minutes, the owner realized it was Kuku who attempted to disguise himself as one of the decors. 😆
Kuku seemed to like blending in with the other bird decor under the TV. Sometimes, he would run to them when he wanted to relax during his freedom and blend in with the “fake” birds. Once, he deliberately hid behind the clock on the TV table to make it more difficult for his owner to find him. However, even when he successfully hid his head and body, his tail was visible and was immediately seen by his owner. 😆
Other than disguising himself as a doll under the TV, Kuku loves to play hide and seek around the house. The owner once shared photos of Kuku hiding inside a cardboard box and peeping at the owner through the hole. The black color on his head made him camouflage with the dark spaces of the box. It made an excellent protective color.
