It was a Christmas Miracle for the Wolfe family! A couple from Pennsylvania, Zac and Brittney Wolfe, has experienced an extraordinary expansion in their family. They have been struggling with fertility issues for years and decided to adopt a baby girl in July 2023.
However, fate took an unexpected turn when Mommy Brittney became pregnant with triplets Knox, Navie, and Noa, who were born on October 19, 2023. The triplets were born at 30 weeks and 5 days and spent nearly 50 days in the NICU at the Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital for monitoring and treatment.
Resorting to Facebook, the Wolfes shared their excitement and expressed gratitude to the staff at the hospital for their remarkable job in caring for their triplets. Overwhelmed with joy, they said in their post, “We will go into more detail soon, but for now, we are going to love up on Charlie, Knox, Noa, and Navie! Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all the continued prayers.”
“Our family is so blessed this holiday season with OUR ENTIRE FAMILY HOME IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS,” the couple said in a statement to PEOPLE magazine. “This is truly a dream come true for the Wolfe Pack! Knox, Noa, and Navie are all doing well and growing accordingly.”
The couple is adjusting to their new parenting life with triplets, taking turns in feeding the newborns between 9:00 PM and 9:00 AM, with a total of almost 13 bottles all through the night alone. It may be tiresome, but the couple still feels fortunate that they have their family’s support, and the babies are the best Christmas gift they have received.
Zac and Brittney’s journey to parenthood was not smooth sailing. Due to a car accident in July 2011, Zac suffered a spinal cord injury. Despite the unfortunate incident, Zac and Brittney, who were college friends, drew even closer together. They got engaged in 2013 and tied the knot 2 years later. However, starting a family became an obstacle due to fertility issues.
When a year passed with unsuccessful attempts to conceive naturally, they sought medical advice. Although they were cleared for natural conception, the couple struggled with fertility issues for almost 5 years. They spent nearly $100,000 on In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Artificial Insemination, but unfortunately, with no success.
The couple was not disheartened. They were determined to be a family, so they decided to adopt. Browsing through websites to find a prospective birth mother, they emphasized their dream to build a big family. They also mentioned their openness to various parenthood potentials. Zac and Brittney’s quest for adoption led them to a baby girl named Charlie, who was born on July 27. Her birth mother chose the Wolfes to be her adoptive parents.
During that same time, the couple learned about “embryo adoption.” They had their first embryo transfer but unfortunately, were unsuccessful. They did not give up, though. They tried the second time in April 2023, and finally, they were successful. However, they were expecting triplets!
Full of happiness, Zac shared the good news with Good Morning America: “When Charlie came to us, I think that we weren’t stressed as much, and Brittney’s pregnancy went so good because we weren’t focused on the negative. We got Charlie. We were so happy, and Brittney’s pregnancy went amazing.”
It was a challenging time for Zac and Brittney when their newborn triplets were in the NICU. However, they were very grateful for the treatment and care their babies received from the staff. With so much gratitude, Brittney said, “Everyone loved our babies as much as we did. It made it a little bit easier.”
Zac and Brittney Wolfe’s journey is proof of perseverance, love, and the joy of family, especially during the holiday season.
