More often than not, a couple marries when they are sure they want to spend the rest of their lives together. They ensure that LOVE and TRUST are present in the relationship, and so is RESPECT. When these 3 most important aspects are present, a relationship usually leads to marriage.
A 40-year-old internet celebrity in China married a woman from Laos who is 14 years younger than he. They have gained popularity on the internet since they married in August 2023 due to his wife’s sweet facial features and shapely body. You can view their videos on her YouTube account, @林老师的旅行.
That was not all. The woman revealed her reason for agreeing to marry the man – an airconditioner. She claimed she had always wanted to feel its cool air.
“Where I came from, it’s so hot,” the bride said. “I didn’t have air-conditioning, and I’ve always wanted one.”
When the man asked her jokingly if the aircon was the only reason she was marrying him, she did not hesitate to respond honestly. “Of course I love you, but having an air-cond is a bonus,” she bluntly responded.
The couple had a simple wedding at the girl’s house, and the man revealed he did not spend too much for the occasion. He roughly spent US$1,820 (approximately RM8,500) for the entire event. The expenses included the village chief’s wedding certificate processing and the pigs for the wedding reception.
The gifts were also less than US$1,392.00 (approximately RM6,500).
As a married couple, they often shared life vlogs and daily activities, including the wife’s cooking, house chores, and their travels together.

You do not need a grand wedding for a marriage to work and be a happy couple. The man only spent a bare minimum, yet he lives happily with the love of his life. And like the bride said, “The air-con is a plus point!”
