20-Year-Old Chinese Influencer Found Homeless With Fractured Legs in Cambodia After Alleged Deception by Boyfriend

A 20-year-old Chinese woman was found homeless on the streets of Cambodia with fractured legs just days after she was reported missing.

In widely circulated images, the young woman appears confused and visibly exhausted, with bruises covering her legs. She was also seen holding a CT scan image that reportedly confirms multiple fractures.

According to social media claims, the woman—believed to be a Douyin influencer—was allegedly lured to Cambodia by her boyfriend with promises of “easy money” and a high-paying job, which ultimately led to her dire situation.

The Chinese Embassy in Cambodia confirmed that it has intervened in the case, coordinating with local authorities and arranging for her immediate hospitalisation for emergency treatment.

Reports indicate that on 26 December 2025, the woman was found abandoned near a hotel in Sihanoukville. Passport records show she is originally from Fujian, China. While some netizens recognised her as a Douyin personality, the circumstances under which she ended up homeless remain unclear.

The embassy stated that upon learning of the incident, it promptly contacted local police and relevant agencies to launch a search and provide assistance. On 3 January, a consular officer from the Chinese Embassy in Sihanoukville confirmed that the woman had been enticed to Cambodia by the promise of a lucrative job.

Her condition has since improved, and the embassy has contacted her family to arrange for her return to China, according to Hong Kong media reports.

Online records show that on 14 April last year, she posted her second video on Douyin, by which time her account’s IP address was already tagged in Cambodia. The video background appeared to be a bar. She went on to post ten more videos, with her final upload dated 10 December.

The case has drawn renewed attention following earlier reports of another Chinese influencer who went missing after travelling to Cambodia and was later linked to a human smuggling operation.
