A Malaysian car workshop owner recently proved that love may be priceless — but marriage definitely isn’t.
The man married a Vietnamese woman who looked like a celebrity, and shortly after the wedding, reality hit harder than a blown engine. His wife’s spending habits turned out to be… ambitious. Very ambitious.
Not only did he need to send money to her family in Vietnam every month, but her local expenses were equally impressive — dining out, shopping, overseas trips, and luxury brands became part of the “daily maintenance cost.”
According to a Facebook page called “Divorce Matters,” the workshop owner was once considered a “life winner.” That title expired the moment he said “I do.”
Ironically, his parents had warned him from the start. Different cultures, backgrounds, lifestyles — what could possibly go wrong? Everything, apparently.
At first, he managed to cope. Then business slowed down, but the spending didn’t. To stay afloat, he sold property. Seeing more cash, his wife spent even faster — like she sensed a limited-time promotion.
Within a year, the money was gone, the workshop closed, the marriage ended, and the wife returned home.
Twenty years of hard work? Spent in under twelve months.
