There may be thousands of new internet celebrities emerging online. However, when it comes to classic beauties of superstars that are considered legends, Hollywood movie star Audrey Hepburn comes to mind.
Audrey Hepburn has appeared in many classic drama films since the beginning of her career. Still, photos of her films reveal her elegance and beauty, with unforgettable facial features. If you appreciate her photos in the past, here are some of Audrey’s most beautiful stills that were captured in some of her films.
Audrey Hepburn was born Audrey Kathleen Ruston in Ixelles, Brussels, Belgium, on the 4th of May, 1929. Although she was born into a wealthy middle-class family, her parents separated in 1935, when Audrey was 6, and officially divorced in 1938 due to an undisclosed “scene” in Brussels. She was left under the care of her mother and Audrey admits that his departure was “the most traumatic event of her life”.
Growing up, she studied dance and choir and appeared in the Dutch film “Dutch in Seven Lessons” (Nederlands in Zeven Lessen), which was released in 1948. Since then, she pursued her acting career.
The entertainment industry has left a lasting record for Audrey Hepburn. Additionally, she was appreciated by thousands of fans when she appeared alongside Gregory Peck in the 1953 movie, “Roman Holiday”. She captivated the hearts of her fans, especially in the bicycle scene, where she wore a casual blouse and skirt with a scarf around her neck and a beautiful smile. Audrey was awarded the 1953 Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance.
In 1954, Audrey appeared in another film, but this time alongside movie legends Humphrey Bogart and William Holden, entitled “Sabrina”. Her acting skills in the film were superb, her character’s clothes and accessories were very fashionable, and her aura onscreen showed sheer elegance.
It is quite difficult for an actor to adjust to a character they are portraying onscreen. However, they learn to be flexible and volatile to portray their character perfectly. Even costume changes can be a challenge to them. When Audrey appeared in the 1957 film “Love in the Afternoon,” her black dress matched the genre of the film, which was a crime and thriller movie. The simple white dress she wore onscreen made her look like a princess who walked out of a castle.
When “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” was released in 1961, it became one of Audrey’s most popular films, and she was at the peak of her acting career. The film was considered a classic, and Audrey’s name has become synonymous with the movie. The most iconic poster that makes people recognize the film through the photo is Audrey wearing a black dress with rows of pearl necklaces and the stylish ‘beehive’ hairstyle during that era. She is very beautiful in an elegant dress while holding a cigarette on a long holder. Moviegoers described her as a noble lady in the photo.
Through her films, people have always pictured Audrey with either short or curly hair. When she is not filming, Audrey lays her hair down, which is quite long. She occasionally has her hair with bangs which makes her simply very elegant. Her fans love her simplicity.
Audrey Hepburn’s features have become more mature through the years. However, her fashionable style and superb talent have not changed. When she was not filming, her humanitarian side emerges, and she helps poor children. Audrey once said, “The beauty of a woman is not in her facial features, but the true beauty which is reflected in her heart. The beauty of a woman grows with the passage of time.” This is, in fact, very true, and you may quote her on this.
Audrey Hepburn is a perfect epitome of a beautiful and elegant woman. Her photos, which you can now browse online, do her justice. Some of her movies are also available for viewing on selected streaming sites. It is a guarantee that her beauty inside and out will last forever, and her name will always be remembered.
Audrey Hepburn passed away on the 20th of January, 1993, at age 63. However, her name and her works will always be retained in the memories of her fans, and the beautiful star will always be alive in the hearts of people. Audrey may no longer be here, but the memory of her will last a lifetime.
